Character Design with Meg Dobson-Armstrong

Announcing the first in our LGBT+ Joy in Diversity community art workshops!
Character Design with Meg Dobson-Armstrong
Saturday 8th November – 10 – 12:00 – 📍Hirst Welfare Centre
In this workshop we will discuss the concept of chosen family, and the importance of being able to recognise the characteristics that we need when deciding who our chosen family are going to be. We will be exploring these concepts through the use of portraiture and character design and seeing how this can change how characters are designed.
Meg is a local illustrator from Newcastle whose work encapsulates humour, social issues, and portraiture through bright and bold illustrations.
This event is part of Northumberland County Council’s Animating Ashington Autumn/Winter Festival – a programme of cultural events across the town being funded by UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the North East Combined Authority, with the North East Combined Authority as lead authority.
